Seamless Wi-Fi Onboarding, Your Way
Cisco Spaces equips you with Wi-Fi onboarding tools that enable various industry-specific outcomes, besides ensuring fast, reliable and secure connectivity. Captive Portals can include terms of service, advertising, and customized branding. OpenRoaming allows one-touch onboarding. The Spaces SDK enables automatic connectivity through your mobile app, while Carrier Offload allows venues to partner with cellular networks and provide zero-touch guest Wi-Fi onboarding.
Captive Portals
Go beyond onboarding with fully customizable portals that can include terms of service, advertising, custom branding and more. In addition to being a secure gateway to your Wi-Fi network and internet access, captive portals also act as a great CRM tool by allowing you to acquire new loyalty members and drive app downloads as new users access the portal. Guests can opt-in to receive further communication as well.
Spaces SDK
Designed to enable seamless connectivity via mobile applications, the Spaces SDK (Software Development Kit) allows users of your mobile app to connect to your Wi-Fi network automatically. App users receive your W-Fi profile over an update and the next time they enter your building/venue, they are automatically connected. After onboarding, app notifications can be used to push location-based interactions such as welcome messages, retail promotions or general updates.
OpenRoaming
Enable zero-touch onboarding and instant roaming across Wi-Fi and 5G/cellular networks. OpenRoaming is an open industry standard that enables guests to connect compatible mobile devices to Wi-Fi networks automatically, using a federation of identity providers and network providers, that securely share credentials and access permissions. This ensures seamless and secure connectivity for users as they move between wireless networks, without the need for repetitive logins or connection trials.
Carrier Offload
Buildings with high footfall (hospitals, venues, airports, etc) or high concentration of people accessing cellular networks simultaneously, are prone to network congestion and slow data speeds. Cisco wireless infrastructure allows them to capitalize on carrier offload partnerships with cellular networks and provide zero-touch Wi-Fi onboarding. Offloading data traffic to Wi-Fi networks helps alleviate congestion, and provide smooth and uninterrupted connectivity to guests, while also opening up new revenue streams.
