Cisco Spaces, now on the Meraki dashboard

We’ve got big news! The most robust cloud-networking and IT platform in Cisco, Meraki has received arguably its biggest upgrade yet. Cisco Spaces has now been natively integrated into the Meraki dashboard. 

This native cloud-to-cloud integration allows Meraki wireless customers to seamlessly activate Cisco Spaces from the Meraki dashboard in just a few clicks.  

The core of Meraki’s philosophy of simplicity, has been paramount to its success, and we are pleased to announce that all Meraki MR license holders can dive right in and leverage the benefits of this integration at no extra cost. The best part is that this is applied retroactively – so if you’ve ever purchased an MR bundle, you are entitled to this licensing effective immediately. 

Key benefits of the Meraki integration

1. Simple, seamless activation, in 3 easy steps

With this native integration, activating Cisco Spaces is as simple as 1, 2, 3!  No more tedious manual steps to link the Meraki and Cisco Spaces dashboards. Now, IT teams can quickly connect and activate Spaces directly from the Meraki dashboard, eliminating friction and streamlining workflows. 

2. Your network, through the lens of location

Thanks to this integration, Meraki wireless customers can now turn their Meraki network into a sensor that delivers enhanced location insights, IoT, and advanced mapping capabilities via the Cisco Spaces dashboard. This integration also serves as an entry point for Meraki wireless customers to leverage Cisco Spaces. This means in-depth visibility into how people and things interact with their buildings, monitoring building occupancy, receiving Wi-Fi analytics, tracking IT-owned devices, and more.    

3. Bundled licensing for added value

We’re also excited to announce bundled licensing across Meraki wireless and Cisco Spaces – Spaces Extend with MR Enterprise and Smart Venues license with MR Advanced/Upgrade licenses. This feature is applied retroactively for all customers with an MR bundle.  

How the Meraki integration works 

The new seamless integration flow eliminates multiple manual steps involved in establishing a mapping between the Meraki dashboard and Cisco Spaces. Users can now initiate the integration from the Meraki dashboard in just a few clicks and create a new Cisco Spaces account or log in to their existing account and start driving outcomes.
